This class is for people who have basic sewing skills, but would like to learn to quilt. Basic quilting techniques are taught in this class.

Adult Intermediate Quilting Class

This class is for quilters who have already learned the basics. Learn how to take two different quilt designs and quilt them together in one piece. Please call store for supply list and to sign up.

Come and join us for beginner sewing. Learn basic sewing skills and techniques. Morning and evening class times.

Supply list for week one is as follows:
1/4 yard cotton fabric
1 yard of ribbon (recommend 5/8" or larger)
thread to match
Easy pattern-i.e: pajama pants, shorts, skirt-no zippers, buttons, pockets, only elastic or drawstring waist.

All items needed for pattern-i.e:
fabric, elastic, thread, etc.
Sewing notions-i.e.: scissors, seam ripper, pins, etc.
Sewing machine will be loaned by Shreveport Sewing Center if you do not have one.

Adult Intermediate Sewing

This is an advanced sewing class for people who are already familiar with basic sewing. Learn buttonholes, ruffles, zippers, pleating, pattern reading, and advanced techniques.

Supply list is as follows:
-An advanced pattern of your choice. i.e.: a pattern with buttonholes, zippers, ruffles, binding, cording, etc.
-All fabric and notions (buttons, thread, zippers, etc.) needed for pattern (see back of pattern package for info)
-1/3 yard of 2 contrasting fabrics

Party Bag Quilt

Date: February 3rd

Learn how to do appliqué on your sewing machine. Personalize any outfit or gift.

Supply list is as follows:
1yd. wonder-under or heat-and-bond light
1yd. tear away interfacing
scrap fabrics (at least 6X6 inches)
something to applique on i.e.: childs garment, pillowcase, t-shirt, etc.
Sewing machine (store will supply one if you do not have one).

Drawstring Jewelry Bag
