Machine Embroidery for Beginners - Session 9



In this series of classes you will learn all the basic machine embroidery techniques and tips and tricks to make you successful.


   •  Session 9 – Redwork

This is a hands-on class where you will learn the history of Redwork, tips on how to stitch redwork designs, and stitch out a design.  It is very informal and gives you the opportunity to ask questions about your specific embroidery projects or challenges.

Requirements: ? Embroidery machine with hoop 6? x 10? hoop or larger ? Fusible No Show Stabilizer ? Tear away stabilizer ? Item to embroider poppy design on and flash drive to load design. o If you want to make a pot holder you need a solid piece of fabric for the front (10? x 14? or size to fit your hoop), fabric for back (10? x 14?), insul-brite or batting (10? x 14?), bias binding to match or ? yard of fabric to make your binding o You can sew it on just a piece of fabric (size to fit your hoop) and make a sample or use to make a pillow, table runner, quilt block, etc. later ? Redwork embroidery thread (we have this in the store)
