Free Motion Quilting

Learn to quilt using free motion quilting with a domestic machine.  We will discuss the basics of free motion quilting and tools, basting, needles and thread, tension and speed control.  Students will be introduced to the following free motion styles:
   -  Stitch in the Ditch
   -  Stipple
   -  Letters
   -  Loops
   -  Cobblestone
   -  Wavy Lines

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must be familiar with sewing machine operation and be able to use a rotary cutter.
Materials Included: Practice Quilt Sandwich
Requirements: Sewing machine for free motion quilting. Standard sewing kit (scissors, thread, quilt pins, basting spray, pins, marking pen, ruler, measuring tape, seam ripper). Y Useful accessories - walking foot, free motion foot, straight stitch plate, slier, quilt ring, extension table, quilting gloves, basting pins, hand needle
