Learn to Stitch on Card Stock

Practice your skills in time to create your own personalized Valentine’s Cards. Learn a number of ways to create your own greeting cards just in time for Valentine’s Day.

  •  Raw Edge Applique (can be made with non-embroidery machine)
  •  Use designs in your machine
  •  Scan designs in IQ Designer  
  •  ITH designs

Materials needed:
  • Heavy-weight cardstock, handmade paper, or watercolor paper (2 sheets per card)
  • Applique fabric (three background strips and fabric for three hearts)
  • Embroidery thread
  • Medium-weight tear away stabilizer
  • Temporary spray adhesive or embroidery tape
  • 75/11 sharp sewing machine needle
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Embroidery Design from OESD (purchase online - click here and search for "Hearts Greeting Card") then download to a USB stick)
  • Printed template of your embroidery design
  • Embroidery machine with 5x7 hoop and standard embroidery accessories
